Get to Know: Teresa Flores

Why did you get into personal injury law? “Initially I got into personal injury because the economy in 2008 was doing so badly and I was doing car sales. Over time, I realized how the Hispanic community didn’t really know what their rights were. They were too afraid to reach out, fearful of being questioned on their legal status. As an immigrant myself, I felt it was my calling to help educate the Hispanic community on their legal options.”

What does “client first” mean to you? “We put the client first! Building trust and confidence are key. We look out for them and, based on their individual needs, we make sure we put them in the best position possible for a great outcome on their case. We communicate, we understand their frustrations and concerns, and we work accordingly to help them.”

What does it mean to you to work for Stewart J Guss, Attorney at Law? “It means hard work, a fast pace, and high standards. It’s a little crazy at times, but I wouldn’t change it. It feels like a family. Everyone looks out for each other and makes sure that we all work as a team. SJG really cares about his employees, and we take pride in what we do. At the end of the day, I love the feeling of my hard work paying off and being able to make a difference in someone’s life.”

Do you have any hidden talents or surprising hobbies? “I’ve been told that I have a good radio voice!”

What did you think you were going to be when growing up? “I always wanted to be a doctor or nurse.”

What is your go to comfort food? “Fries! I love french fries.”
